Cocktail Dress
As the name suggests, cocktail dresses are meant for formal and semi-formal parties. Although according to the contemporary fashion, an ideal cocktail dress ends just above the knee, originally this dress used to be longer, reaching up to the ankle. There are still some evening dresses, known as tea-length evening dresses which end around 2 inches above the ankle. Before the mid-twentieth century, cocktail dresses were regarded as evening dresses. While there are exclusive sections of vintage cocktail and tea length dresses, reviving the charm of the yesteryears, the backless and petite dress sections comply with the current fashion trend.
